A Travel Blessing

by Greaghoir Mac an Ghobhainn

Tairneanach, father of the twelve winds, hear me...
May your breath fill my sails, that I might have Gods' speed.

Scathach, mother of warriors, hear me...
May your sheild go before me, that I might me protected.

Manannan, son of the sea, hear me...
May your mists be about me, that I might be kept from the eyes of those that mean me harm.

By the Sky that is above me...
Tha thubhairt.

By the Land that is beneath me...
Tha de\anta.

By the Sea that is around me...
Tha mhath.

Translations:
Tha thubhairt - It is spoken
Tha de\anta - It is done
Tha mhath - It is good
